Ah, Valentine’s Day! The day of love. I’ve had so much fun looking at all of the beautiful decorations on the web this year. Thank you Pinterest!
I have been inspired to make a Valentine Heart Pillow and some Wine Bottle Art. And this past week I was encouraged me to bring out a gift I made for my husband a couple years ago. We are still settling in and it has not found a home in our apartment yet.
When we lived in Chicago, I went around the city and took photos of different signs and monuments to spell out L-O-V-E. Then I framed each one individually and wrapped them up as a Valentine’s gift. It was a fun, inexpensive way to personalize something special for him. This would be really easy for you to do too. Just grab your camera and snap some photos around your town!
The “L” is from the Oriental Theater. The “O” is the old Marshall Field’s clock on the corner of State and Washington. The “V” is a photo of “The Bean”/Cloud Gate turned upside down. And the “E” is from the State Street “El” sign.

Very good work! I did something like this after seeing the crazy prices for those word photos. I just printed off the letters and voila! See? I’m smart like you!
