I’ve hit the half way point! It’s hard to believe that this is the middle of this adventure. I’ve been going to pre-natal yoga consistently and last week in class I commented that I started attending when I was only 8 weeks pregnant. Of course no one could tell I was pregnant and I was envious of all the mama’s with beautifully full bellies. Now, I’m one of those mamas!
It’s been so fun getting to feel my baby move and see how the little one reacts to noises or pressure on my belly. This past week we also had our 20-week ultrasound and it was such a relief to hear that everything looked good and they baby is healthy. Peanut definitely takes after Brett and I as the measurements showed very long limbs. Not surprising though as I was all arms and legs when I was little.
Here’s the weekly picture tracking my growth process.
If you can’t read the board, here are the stats:
Age: 20 weeks
Sex: Stay Tuned
Height: 6.5 in.
Weight: 10.6 oz.
Notes: Baby tried to be secretive at the ultra sound (with an drawing of a magnifying glass)
How far along? 20 weeks
Total weight gain? 17 pounds
Maternity clothes? Yep. Mostly regular shirts still as long as they were on the bigger side before I got pregnant.
Sleep? Better this week. I think the body pillow is helping.
Miss anything? Having an easier time picking out clothes and knowing how everything fit before putting it on.
Movement? Yes! It was really cool getting to see the baby and feel it move at the same time during our ultrasound.
Cravings? Not really.
Aversions? Not yet.
Gender: Stay tuned. We had a great time finding out with our families after our 20-week ultrasound and I want to share that fun with all of you later this week.
Labor signs? Nope.
Wedding ring on or off? On.
Looking forward to: Exploring baby names now that we know the gender.
